Will it work with your setup?

Answer two or three quick questions. We’ll tell you whether GlucoLamp works with your sensor or pump, and what you need to connect it.

How do you track your glucose?

Which sensor do you use?

Which pump do you use?

Which sensor do you use with it?

Which sensor do you use with it?

Yes

Dexcom works with GlucoLamp

GlucoLamp reads your glucose through Dexcom Share. If your sensor readings appear in the Dexcom app on a phone with an internet connection, GlucoLamp can show them.

What you need

  • Dexcom Share switched on, with at least one follower added. Any email address will do.
  • The username and password of the Dexcom account signed in to the app that receives the sensor readings, not a Dexcom Follow account.
  • Using Dexcom with a pump? The readings must also appear in the Dexcom app.

Outside the US? Choose “Outside US” as the region during setup. Dexcom Stelo is not supported.

Yes

FreeStyle Libre works with GlucoLamp

GlucoLamp reads your glucose through LibreLinkUp. If a follower can see your current readings there, GlucoLamp can show them.

What you need

  • The free LibreLinkUp app, with a follower connection added in LibreLink under Connected Apps.
  • The connection must show Active in LibreLink, not Pending.
  • The email and password of the LibreLinkUp follower account, not your LibreLink sensor account.

A Libre sensor read only with a handheld reader won’t work unless its readings also appear in LibreLinkUp. Abbott Lingo is not supported.

Yes

Medtronic works with GlucoLamp, through CareLink

GlucoLamp connects to Medtronic CareLink. If your current glucose shows in CareLink, GlucoLamp can show it too. This covers Guardian sensors and MiniMed pumps.

What you need

  • A CareLink account that can see your current glucose, either your own or a care partner account.
  • Your readings must be reaching CareLink through the CareLink app.
  • Europe or the United States. Choose your region during setup.

CareLink sometimes asks for a CAPTCHA at login. If GlucoLamp can’t sign in, log in to CareLink in a browser, complete the CAPTCHA, then try again.

Yes

Medtrum works with GlucoLamp, through EasyFollow

GlucoLamp can read from Medtrum EasyFollow. If your current glucose shows in the EasyFollow app, it can show on the lamp.

What you need

  • An EasyFollow account with the patient already added in the EasyFollow app.
  • An active sensor that is connected to EasyFollow.
  • Europe only, because GlucoLamp uses Medtrum’s European service.
Yes

Nightscout works with GlucoLamp

Nightscout is a personal website used by many DIY and community-built diabetes setups. If it already shows your current readings, GlucoLamp can display them.

What you need

  • Your Nightscout web address, the https:// link.
  • Your API secret, if your site uses one.
  • Current readings showing in Nightscout.
Yes

DIY systems work through Nightscout

Loop, AAPS, Trio and similar systems can upload your glucose to Nightscout. If your current readings show there, GlucoLamp can display them.

What you need

  • Your Nightscout web address, the https:// link.
  • Your API secret, if your site uses one.
  • Current readings showing in Nightscout.
Maybe

Maybe. It depends where your readings go

GlucoLamp can’t read from a sensor directly. It reads from Dexcom, LibreLinkUp, CareLink, Medtrum or Nightscout. If your readings reach one of those, you’re set.

What you need

  • Many sensors can send their readings to Nightscout, for example through the xDrip+ app.
  • Check that current readings show up in the service before you order.
  • Not sure? Tell us which sensor and phone you use and we’ll help.
Usually

Omnipod 5 with Libre usually works

GlucoLamp works when a LibreLinkUp follower can see your current readings.

What you need

  • Your Omnipod account linked to LibreView.
  • A LibreLinkUp follower account that shows your current readings.
  • Get LibreLinkUp working first. If readings show there, you’re ready for GlucoLamp.

Supported sensors, pods and phones vary by country and software version.

Maybe

Tandem with Libre: check LibreLinkUp first

Some Tandem setups send Libre readings to the pump directly, so they don’t always reach LibreLinkUp. GlucoLamp only works if a LibreLinkUp follower can see your current readings.

What you need

  • Open LibreLinkUp and check whether your current readings show.
  • If they do, follow the Libre steps to connect GlucoLamp.
  • If they don’t, GlucoLamp can’t read your data yet.
Maybe

twiist: it depends where your readings go

GlucoLamp doesn’t connect to twiist directly. It works if your sensor readings also reach Dexcom, LibreLinkUp or Nightscout.

What you need

  • With Dexcom: check that the readings show in the Dexcom app, with Share switched on.
  • With Libre: check that LibreLinkUp shows your current readings.
  • If neither shows readings, GlucoLamp can’t read them yet.
Maybe

Maybe. Check where your readings go

GlucoLamp reads from your sensor’s service, not from the pump. If your sensor readings reach Dexcom, LibreLinkUp, CareLink, Medtrum or Nightscout, it works.

What you need

  • Dexcom: the readings show in the Dexcom app, with Share switched on.
  • Libre: the readings show in LibreLinkUp.
  • Anything else: the readings show in Nightscout.

Not sure? Tell us which pump and sensor you use and we’ll help.

Regions

Where it works

GlucoLamp connects through each service’s own servers, so a few of them have regional limits.

Dexcom

United States and outside the US. You choose during setup.

FreeStyle Libre

Europe, US and Asia-Pacific. GlucoLamp follows Abbott’s region automatically.

Medtronic CareLink

Europe and the United States.

Medtrum EasyFollow

Europe.

Nightscout

Anywhere. It uses your own website.

Good to know

What doesn’t work yet

Dexcom Stelo and Abbott Lingo

These over-the-counter sensors aren’t supported at the moment.

A Libre read only by a handheld reader

It only works if the readings also appear in LibreLinkUp.

Direct pump connections

GlucoLamp reads your glucose from your sensor’s service. It doesn’t show pump details such as insulin on board.

More than one person per lamp

One GlucoLamp displays data for one person.

Still not sure?

Tell us which sensor and pump you use and we’ll help you figure it out.

GlucoLamp is a visual display device that shows data from your existing CGM system. It does not replace medical devices or professional medical advice, and it does not control a CGM, insulin pump or insulin delivery. Always rely on your official CGM data for medical decisions.
